Understanding ACTDEC Levels 2 to 5

ACTDEC accredits online and distance TESOL courses at four levels. Level 2 (70 to 100 hours) is introductory. Level 3 (120 hours) is the standard entry certificate most employers recognise as a minimum. Level 4 (150 hours) adds depth. Level 5 (240 to 250 hours) is advanced professional training.

ACTDEC’s framework is organised around five domains of learning: Language, Culture, Instruction, Assessment and Professionalism, aligned with TESOL International Association guidance for short-term certificate programmes.
