Steps towards Accreditation

  1. Applicant member institution views Guide to Accreditation and is invited to apply for accreditation for a specific course or specific courses.

  2. Applicant member institution applies.

  3. Applicant member institution submits two copies of submission in confidence to Accreditation Panel.

  4. Accreditation Panel inspects submission and makes professional reports.

  5. Panel Chair submits report to Council and institution.

  6. Outcome either

    • report recommends accreditation.

    • report shows discrepancies. Accreditation referred subject to resubmission.

    • report recommends no accreditation.

  7. Reports final recommendations approved by ACTDEC Council.
