Accreditation
Accreditation Process
Six clear steps from application to Accredited Member status.
Our accreditation process assesses the quality of the training you provide (or aim to provide) against the Code of Practice and Key Performance Indicators. When you are ready to start, get in touch.
- 1
Choose ACTDEC and pay the initial organisational audit fee
When you are ready, contact us for payment instructions. The initial fee of £350 is non-refundable. On receipt of payment we send the New Applicant Folder and an A&A Panel member contacts you.
- 2
Complete the forms in the New Applicant Folder
Submit (1) the Initial Organisational Audit and (2) the Course Accreditation Submission. There is no fixed deadline for first submission – take the time needed to meet the standards.
- 3
A&A Panel report
Two panel members review your submissions. You receive a report rated: Successful · Pending Required Changes · Unsuccessful. An unsuccessful rating is rare and usually only occurs when evidence is incomplete or incoherent.
- 4
Address required changes (if any)
If rated Pending Required Changes, you have up to three months from the report date to implement changes and respond. Clarifications may be requested within two weeks of the report.
- 5
Second review (if required)
The panel confirms that required changes have been implemented satisfactorily. Incomplete, delayed or unsatisfactory responses can incur additional charges.
- 6
Become an ACTDEC Accredited Member
You receive an Accredited Member Certificate and Member Pack (including logo and level-stamp usage rules). Your status is published on this website.
